Little Fish, Big Pond
I created comic several years ago for the Cedar Rapids publication Hoopla. It ran weekly for about two years until I decided to throw in the towel. Overall, it was a great experiment in comedy, speed illustrating, and hitting deadlines. Attached are some of my favorites.
Synopsis:
The main characters are a slacker named Andy, and Walter, a walking catfish.
The catfish is literally a “fish out of water”. He’s intelligent and book smart, but completely clueless when it comes to pop culture and human culture in general.
His roommate is the complete opposite. He loves movies and quotes them often. He makes it his mission to “educate” the catfish on movies, video games, comic books, music and all things pop culture.
