Chewie’s New ‘Do
I’ll admit it, this one is really weird but I can’t stop looking at it. I did this in a mad rush of two nights for a fundraiser benefiting the Wellness Center in Cedar Rapids. Urban Vintage Hair Salon is hosting the party so I create a vintage “choose your haircut” poster with an urban edge. I picked Chewbacca because umm...well...he has a lot of hair and he was due for an overhaul. For the text I chose to use the word ‘do as an abbreviation for hairdo so I could put a twist to Yoda’s famous quote, “Do or do not, there is no try." Adding two little apostrophes now changes it into a statement about hair, ‘Do or ‘do not, there is no try. This new credo is a calling for Chewie to be brave and express himself with his massive mane.
